Cascadia, what a vast beautiful land. Upon any drive or bike across this place it is almost impossible not to find hidden gems. The people are rather few and far between but the real life is on the country side. One of such trips yielded the discovery of "Cascadia State Park". We immediately screeched to a halt. We turned off the highway and onto a understated road, crossed the South Santiam River river on a classic Oregon covered bridge and entered another world. A world of greenery; towering trees, fallen dead the size of sidewalks, sudden ravines, creeks and surprise waterfalls. Moss covers every surface and drips with water creating tiny streams into a hidden creek. Even though the sun is out and the weather is lovely, moisture coats everything, and hence life. The goodness is almost overwhelming, we cant help ourselves, we must embrace it.
This entire shoot was done with a Canon AE-1 on 35mm film, and no filters.
